Subs: Tayo Edun, Remy Howarth, Sean Roughan, Sam Long, Anyone possibly rated 50/50

Okay, so the bench looks weak, but you might be questioning why I’ve opted to drop Tayo Edun for tonight’s game. After all, he’s been superb so far, hasn’t he?
Well, aside from him benefitting from a bit of a rest, having him on the bench gives us options if we pick up another injury. He can operate at left back or across the midfield, so he could realistically replace any one of four players in the squad. With Remy able to play across the front three and in midfield, that’s another bunch of players covered on the bench. Sean Roughan could operate in the centre of defence or left back too, so we do have flexibility.
However, by keeping Tayo on the bench until 60 minutes we could offer McGrandles a rest in the latter stage if we wished, especially with a tough trip to Plymouth to consider. The fixture congestion we are experiencing means often Michael won’t pick the strongest eleven, but the most flexible and one which always has one eye on the next fixture.
