Jack Hendry
It was the Daily Record that linked us with Celtic’s 25-year-old defender Jack Hendry, a move that looks similar on paper to that of Adam Jackson. They’re similar ages, both were with SPFL clubs and neither are with those clubs now. As we know, the defender didn’t move to the Imps, instead he went on loan to Melbourne Glory in Australia, where he appeared twice before picking up a knee injury. He recovered from that and was sent out on loan again in the summer, this time to Belgian side KV Oostende, where he has impressed in a major way. They have the best defensive record in the Belgian league, despite almost being relegated last season. With one year left on his Celtic deal, Hendry could move on in the summer, but despite his impressive form, he can’t be recalled to Parkhead – there was no winter recall clause inserted in his loan. Oostende are 8th in the Belgian top flight, and Hendry recently scored as they beat third-place Charleroi 3-2.
