Largie Ramazani – Man Utd
It says Largie Ramazani next to the title, but the truth is any number of Manchester United youngsters could have been the subject of the piece. I’ve been told Ramazani is on his way, supported by an ex-agent on Twitter, but then several fans have also been talking about a young player who appeared against us with ‘Valderamma hair’, which I assume could be Tahitha Chong. I’ve even seen on a post somewhere we’re in for Gomes, which takes the rumour beyond plausible and into the ridiculous.
Is there any truth to this discussion. Honestly, I don’t know. We do expect MA to use his contacts and Manchester United are one of his former clubs, but that is clearly why we’re seeing so many rumours (see also any of our players to Huddersfield). Whether fringe first team players like Ramazani or Chong would be allowed to drop into League One is the big question.
What I would say is I wouldn’t be surprised if Michael Appleton hasn’t had the conversation with Man Utd, especially having seen a few first hand during our EFL Trophy defeat. I do expect us to be in close contact with clubs like this looking to offer their talent first team football and, maybe, a contract if they’re ever released.
