Adam Idah – Norwich City

This is a developing story and one we first discussed a couple of days ago. It sprang up on a couple of those ‘ITK’ (in the know) accounts but gained traction after some claimed to have seen him at Sincil Bank on social media.

Since we wrote the last story he’s made his Norwich City Premier League debut and been heavily linked with a loan move to Doncaster Rovers. Any possible move for him would be something of a coup though; he’s highly-rated by Daniel Farke and is a teammate of Zach Elbouzedi for Ireland.

He only became a part of the Norwich City first team this season, making his first senior appearance in the League Cup against Crawley in September before his recent outing against Palace. His performances at U21 level for Eire, alongside our new boy Elbouzedi, have seen him score five goals in 11 games. He’s been involved in the Ireland setup since Under 16 level, scoring 14 in 22 for the Under 17s and progressing steadily through the ranks.

I think there is definitely substance to this one, although that guarantees little. Just because we enquire / are interested / have moved for a player doesn’t mean the deal is done. It remains to be seen if we get the 6ft 3in striker on a loan deal anytime in the coming weeks.
