Thanks: Jake Caprice
Again, another one that might spark a bit of debate. I rated Caprice and always felt he’d go on to better things, which looks to be the case after he joined us in League One at the end of last season via the play-offs with Tranmere.
Caprice was a pacey full-back who signed for City under Gary Simpson after being released by Blackpool. He suffered an injury which kept him out of the side for Simpson’s dismissal, but he returned under Chris Moyses to make 34 appearances in a Lincoln side that once again found itself battling against relegation.
Despite his talent, he wasn’t able to earn himself a new contract and he moved to Woking once his Imps time was up. Was part of the Woking team that beat Lincoln twice the following season, and gained an England C call up after Imp Sam Habergham withdrew from the squad.
He later moved to Tranmere where he’s since racked up more than 50 senior outings.
