5th – Tommy Rowe
This is one that I’ve had text to me by a couple of people. It’s an obvious link to have made I guess; he’s going to have heard good things about the club from his brother, Danny.
What’s more, he has been with Doncaster, so is local. He’s played League One football to a good level, captained Doncaster last season and is exactly the sort of player I could see Danny going for.
He’s left footed and can operate down the left flank, or through the centre. If he were to come in, it would suggest Bruno is on his way.
In terms of quality, this would be a top signing and the circumstantial evidence is there as well, but I still can’t see it happening. If we pulled it off, it would be the same size coup as when we bagged Bozzy; Rowe has rejected Doncaster’s offer for financial reasons and surely to attract him here would be beyond the gaffer.

What is the situation regarding our better loan players last season. O’Hara, McCartan and Rowe. Has the interest in them not been followed up?
Coker i read elsewhere has just got married at the weekend maybe that has delayed things abit?
I see that George Maris is leaving Cambridge. Danny and Jez George has a long old chat with him after the game at the Abbey Stadium…
