Igor Vetokele

Honesty shout; I like Charlton. I watched them a bit last season as part of my work with FLW and I liked what I saw. Vetokele had to come in from the cold when Karlan Grant left and he did okay. He’s 27-years-old, a centre forward and he’s got international honours with Angola. He played for Belgium up to Under 21 level and I believe he’s got real quality.

Sure, he might be expensive. That’s not the point of this article, is it? He’s  out of contract, hasn’t got a team and he impressed in the division last season. He wasn’t amongst the goals as much as some might like, but I could see him and Big John forming a lethal partnership.

It was either Vetokele or Josh Parker and I promised I wouldn’t mention Parker again. He’s still free though. Two good signings, if we had the cash.
