Here’s one we could bring up with us from League Two. MK Dons have essentially snapped up anyone they felt they liked the look of last season and if we did the same, this boy would have to be up there.

He got goals and assists from the centre of midfield for Carlisle and is widely regarded as one of their best players, or should I say ‘was’. He turned down a new deal this week, not because it was too low, but because it was only a single year. He’s being linked with Plymouth and Swindon, but he’s based in the north and has a young family as well.

He got 11 goals for Carlisle and a further seven assists (which eclipses Bruno’s ten goals and four assists stats from Google), so there is potential here. He’s a central player, would play the McCartan role as well as Shay did last season but has never done it outside the basement division.
