No Thanks: Flitcroft / Futcher

Is this a fair one?

Both players had spells with Lincoln, one as a below-par loan player (wow) and the other as a part of the same team as Bimson in 2002/03. To be negative towards Futcher isn’t easy, he’s not a player I admired but he was the leading scorer that season. He served the Imps well before buggering off to Boston, then rubbing salt in the wounds be appearing for Grimsby against us, helping them beat us in the 2006 play-off semi-final.

That isn’t why I’m choosing this though. It was at Bury where the two got together, first as players then as manager and assistant. They later went to Swindon where we crossed paths last season, before now ending up at Mansfield.

They’re as popular in Lincoln as gout.
