Happy Christmas from The Stacey West

I want to take a moment this morning to wish you all a very Happy Christmas, as well as thank you for your continued support.

The first full year of the site has been a whirlwind, there’s been highs and lows but your support has been constant. I have some wonderful people visit the blog and I appreciate each and every one of you. As I raise a glass around the dinner table today I’ll be toasting you all, because you’ve allowed my dreams to become tangible and real.

Every time someone donates to the site, every time someone comes to me and says they’re a fan, even as I watched visitor stats go up on an article, I’m grateful for what you allow me to do. Thanks to Danny and Nicky we’re having a great time on the pitch and I hope today you have a wonderful time off it.

I’m at home today with Fe, Dad, Mo and my Mum. Last night we went over to my brother’s house and saw him, Mel and the kids. That’s what Christmas is about and I hope you’re spending your time with people who you care about too. Christmas is the time for forgiving, it’s the time for cherishing what you have and offering goodwill to all. I think you lot do that 365 days a year, but today you get to celebrate it.

So, hopefully you’ve unwrapped Imperfect Focus today, if not I hope the festive period brings you everything you wish for. It brought me a bespoke cartoon from the excellent A City United cartoonist Chris Wray, featured in the picture above. I’m not sure how any Christmas will measure up again, not when the first present I unwrapped found me featuring in a cartoon with Bozzie and DC. Mind = blown.

Merry Christmas from me and everyone else at the Stacey West. Enjoy.
